Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 24 August 2026 · Dr. Naveen Kumar Sharma & Associates

1. No advertisement or solicitation

The Bar Council of India does not permit advocates to solicit work or advertise. By accessing this website you acknowledge and confirm that:

  • you are seeking information about the Firm of your own accord and for your own use;
  • there has been no advertisement, personal communication, solicitation, invitation or inducement of any kind from the Firm or any of its members to create an advocate–client relationship;
  • any information you obtain here is at your own volition, and any use you make of it is at your own risk.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal advice, an offer to represent you, or a solicitation of any kind.

2. No advocate–client relationship

Reading this website, submitting a form, or corresponding with us does not create an advocate–client relationship. That relationship arises only when the Firm has accepted an engagement in writing, completed its conflict checks, and agreed terms with you.

Until then, please do not send us confidential or time-sensitive material. Information sent before an engagement is accepted may not be treated as privileged, and we may already act for another party in the same matter.

3. Information on this site

The content here is general, may not be current, and is not a substitute for advice on your own facts. Law changes, and pages are not always updated the day it does. You should not act, or refrain from acting, on anything here without taking advice on your specific circumstances. We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Applications and recruitment

Where the site invites applications — including for empanelment as a practice advocate for court appearances, or as a senior or expert advocate — the following apply:

  • Submitting an application creates no offer, engagement, retainer, or promise of work, and no obligation on the Firm to respond.
  • You confirm that the information you give is true, that you are enrolled with a State Bar Council, and that your enrolment is current and not suspended.
  • You confirm that nothing prevents you from accepting the work, including any bar on practice, conflict, or contractual restriction.
  • We may verify your enrolment and other particulars with the relevant Bar Council or from public records.
  • Any engagement that follows will be on separate written terms, including as to fees, appearances and expenses.

5. Fees and appearances

No fee, rate, or scale is offered or implied anywhere on this site. Any fee is agreed matter by matter, in writing, in advance.

6. Your use of the site

You agree not to use this site to transmit unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material, to attempt unauthorised access, or to interfere with its operation or security.

7. Intellectual property

The text, layout, and marks on this site belong to the Firm or its licensors. You may read and print pages for your own reference. You may not reproduce, republish, or use them commercially without written permission.

8. Third-party links and content

Where we link elsewhere, we do not control or endorse that content and are not responsible for it. Some images on this site are served by a third-party image host, which will receive your IP address in order to deliver them.

9. Confidentiality and privilege

Communications made in the course of a professional engagement are subject to the protections of Section 132 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (formerly Section 126 of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872). Those protections do not extend to material sent before an engagement is accepted — see clause 2.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Firm is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on this website's content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for professional liability owed to an actual client under an accepted engagement.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.

12. Changes

We may amend these terms at any time by posting a revised version here, with the date above updated. Please check before relying on them.
